Arlington Advocate urges Yes on Question 5

The Arlington Advocate has endorsed Question 5, urging a Yes vote on Tuesday, November 4.

We base this recommendation on the success of the program in other communities, such as Lexington and Bedford. While we acknowledge that those communities use a higher percentage - 3 percent – and they each have a much larger commercial and industrial tax base, it doesn’t mean that Arlington can’t have a successful program on a smaller scale.
